How do I find peace when I need it most?
I find comfort and solace by doing the mundane. Taking a quiet bath, grooming myself and trying not to think up stories in my head about what happened or what should have happened.
I believe the stories we tell ourselves are not the whole truth. They are skewed, convulated versions of reality.
When I am in a state of distress, I seek peace by saying, “this is what the universe wants for me.” Saying this phrase quiets my inner monologue and keeps me in a peaceful, present state.
