Meditation continues to be my guiding post

I try my best to surround myself with those who care about my well being and those who respect my wishes to be true to myself.

Unfortunately in life, I sometimes find myself in situations where some of the people around me don’t seem to have my best interest in mind.

So how do I show compassion to those that don’t necessarily wish well for me?

By understanding that they are not at peace with themselves. They are enduring much pain and heart ache. And they are not in touch with who they truly are.

I find that meditation gives me these insights.

Meditation helps me gain an awareness of myself and my surroundings and makes me more compassionate, accepting and loving to all beings.

Meditation helps me calmly be in the presence of those who criticize me.

Instead of crashing into waves of criticizim, meditation helps me ride these turmoil waves, peacefully and nonchalantly.

Meditation continues to be my guiding post.

It calms my whirl wind of emotions and grounds me to what being real means to me - being present, being true to myself and honouring and showing compassion to myself and those around me.
